How To Solve "The DVD Drive Is Not Found" Error
Step 1 – Delete Specific Registry Keys
The first step is to delete registry keys which are used by the DVD Drive. Not many people know this, but the “registry” of your PC is a large database which stores important information & options for your system. Although this part of your computer is continually being used to help make sure that your computer is able to run smoothly, it’s continually causing a huge number of problems that will result in a large number of Windows errors. To fix this, you can follow these steps:
► Click Start
► Run, type regedit
► Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\
► Delete both UpperFilters and LowerFilters in the right-hand pane
► (UpperFilters.bak and LowerFilters.bak entries can be ignored)
